What This Procedure Involves
An incision is made over the anterior (Henry) approach to the radius. The radius fracture is anatomically reduced and fixed with a plate and screws. The DRUJ is then tested for stability. If stable after radius fixation, no further intervention is needed. If unstable, the DRUJ may be pinned with a K-wire in a reduced position, or the TFCC may be repaired. The operation takes one to one and a half hours.
