What This Procedure Involves
RTS testing typically includes: isokinetic dynamometry — quadriceps and hamstring strength measured on a machine, comparing the operated leg to the non-operated leg (limb symmetry index, LSI). Target: greater than 90% LSI. Hop testing — single hop for distance, triple hop, crossover hop, and timed 6-metre hop. Target: greater than 90% LSI. Functional testing — Y-balance test, single-leg squat quality, agility tests, and sport-specific drills. Psychological readiness — ACL-Return to Sport after Injury (ACL-RSI) questionnaire. Target: score greater than 56/100. The assessment takes approximately one hour and is performed by a physiotherapist experienced in ACL rehabilitation.
